There is no day quite like Record Store Day. For vinyl enthusiasts and crate-diggers, Record Store Day is the undisputed highlight of the calendar. A celebration of independent music, media, and the community that keeps the culture thriving.
This year, we headed to Auckland's iconic Real Groovy to join the festivities. Independently owned for over 40 years, Real Groovy is more than a shop, it’s an oasis of cool that has outlasted every retail trend. Supporting local institutions that value quality and authenticity is central to the AS Colour philosophy, and we were stoked to be part of the madness.
To mark the occasion, we teamed up with our friends at Supacolour NZ for a live heat-pressing activation right in the heart of the store onto our Basic Tote and Block Tee.
The result was the ultimate Record Store Day souvenir: a reliable everyday, limited edition tote built to carry a fresh haul of vinyl. Between the live tunes, face painting, and balloon art, the energy was a reminder of why showing up in a community, not just to it, is the only way to do things properly.
