We’ve always been passionate about creating high-quality apparel, but we know a blank tee is just the starting point. The real magic happens when a talented decorator get their hands on it. That's why we're so proud of our long-standing relationships with customers like Machine.
Bec and Jochen started Machine in Melbourne in 1999, but Jochen’s printing journey began even earlier, in New Zealand in the early '90s. His inspiration came from the dance music and streetwear scenes - a creative passion that led to the establishment of a small streetwear label called ‘Machine’.
Even when the business was just a side hustle operating out of a spare bedroom, the focus was always on originality and quality. Today, those same values are the heart of their business. Machine have built a solid reputation for producing top-quality work, and they believe that a great final product starts with a great blank canvas.
As they put it, "AS Colour has elevated the standard for blanks in Australia. Their garments not only feel great but print beautifully, so we’re able to add value for our customers knowing they’ll be completely happy with the finished product.” This dedication to quality is a major reason why they’ve been at the top of their game for 25 years - a massive achievement in any industry.
Machine have been with us from the very beginning. They were one of our first customers when we landed in Australia in 2008 and immediately saw the potential in our products. “When we received our first order, we knew it was a game-changer.” Working with a company that values craftsmanship and relationships as much as we do has made our 20-year partnership so rewarding. Today, Machine are more determined than ever. They recently moved into a bigger, better space and are committed to making it Australia’s best decorating business for both clients and their team. We've seen firsthand how Australian customers and decorators prioritise quality and ethical production, and Machine embodies that ethos completely.
