GRLSWIRL is a women-founded skateboarding collective, unifying people globally by cultivating an authentic community dedicated to good vibes on and off the board. Headquartered in Venice Beach CA, GRLSWIRL was founded by an initial crew of 9 female skateboarders in early 2018. Since then, it has exploded into an international movement with chapters in San Diego, New York City, Lisbon Portugal, and Paris France.
A quick look at their Instagram feed will easily trigger the good vibes, as it is laden with nostalgic, sun-soaked lifestyle content meant to inspire and attract willing participants into their wanderlust and joyful reality - one that is authentically realised when skateboarding and life collide in a beautiful way.
Earlier this summer, AS Colour teamed up with the GRLSWIRL squad to create a limited run of the Walnut 1156 Class Canvas Cap with a custom GRLSWIRL graphic. The embroidery was executed by the talented team at Bert F. Ayers Printing & Embroidery.
We are looking forward to more collaborations with the team at GRLSWIRL, and can’t wait to see what’s to come from this iconic movement. Surely it will be a continuation of those good vibes when community, unity, and skateboarding are the core of everything they do.
